"We share the belief that another world is possible, that it is urgent and that we must make it now!" These words, spoken at the World Social Forum 2004 in Mumbai could be the motto for the Indian-German non-profit organisation "Learn for Life, Another World is Possible". Firstly, we feel the urgency to leverage this different, socially just, peaceful and free world. And secondly, we believe that this other world - in which gender, caste, ethnicity and religion are no longer used as weapons to subdue the individual – is possible, if maybe only on a small scale.
We’re working as best we can to give this world a more human face. The initiative to this work was taken in India where every day life is more dominated by social injustice than in the western world. In order to support the efforts in India both financially and spiritually a non-profit was founded in Germany.
