How you can help us

There are many ways to support us in our task to empower the women and children in India to gain a self controlled life. Mainly there are sponsorships, membership in our non-profit, single donations and volunteer work in India and the country of your origin.

Single donations:

Please remember to advise us of your postal address either by mail or in the transaction details if you need a receipt of your donation!

Sponsorships:

With only €20 (around $24 or £14) per month you can ensure that a child receives 2 meals a day, adequate monthly healthcare (general, dental and ophthalmologic checks) and a school uniform. Apart from that we will spend the money on material for lessons and the school itself. Your donation will of course benefit all our children. To help the personal contact between sponsor and children, each child will paint something or write a letter for their sponsor every 3 months or so. If you want to see the situation in India with your own eyes you're of course always more than welcome. You can cancel your sponsorship with 3 months notice (so that we can always plan a little ahead) at any time. Of course you can also sponsor a specific project of your choice.

Membership:

Membership fees are graded in the following way:

• From €2 per month for students, apprentices, the unemployed and the retired
• From €5 per month for the gainfully employed

Anybody who wishes to contribute more may do so!

We will use membership fees firstly to pay for our own administrative costs in Germany like notary- and court fees; printing/copying of flyers, forms etc; postal fees and the like. Everything surplus to our requirements – and this is most of the membership fees – goes straight to the project in Varanasi. It is also possible to register a non-profit in your home country as a "friends of" or "Learn for Life, Whateveryourcountry".
